Global performance. Growing pipeline.

Henderson puts size on your side, with a population of two million strong within a 50-minute radius, in the nation’s second fastest growing county. Skills keep pace, too, beginning at the K-12 level in top-ranked schools that offer aligned dual enrollment curricula.

And now skills expansion will take an important step forward with College of Southern Nevada’s new Advanced Manufacturing Rapid Response Program, created with a $2 million grant from Workforce Innovations for the New Nevada (WINN) Fund.

The WINN grant enables the development of two middle skills training programs for Production Technician and Machine Operator, while also allowing students to obtain critical certifications from the Manufacturing Skills Standards Council (MSSC) and the National Institute for Metalworking Skills (NIMS) for Production Technician, Logistics Technician, and CNC Machining Operator, which provides a pathway to mechatronics and robotics degrees.

Additionally, College of Southern Nevada delivers custom-training for qualified projects as well as providing general and specialized courses and certificate programs aligned to a broad range of industry needs. Workers also keep skills honed through Nevada’s LEAP (Learn and Earn Advanced Career Paths). Seamless and fully integrated across training platforms, these paths are strategically informed by CTE principles and employer guidance.
