Workforce Recruitment and Development

Henderson’s comprehensive workforce development ecosystem combines powerful assistance with the utmost ease of access. While the system encompasses educational entities from K-12 through the higher education level as well as a new Center of Excellence training facility, the access point for employers is the Employ NV Business Hub, offering one-stop convenience in a range of no-cost services and assistance in employee recruitment, screening and training.

Henderson’s two Business Hubs are operated by Workforce Connections, Southern Nevada’s Workforce Development Board. Thanks to the efforts of this award-winning organization, Clark County is the largest county in the nation to be ACT® Work Ready-Certified, which assures employers of a solid basic skill level.

The Hubs—one located inside City Hall and the other inside the Green Valley Library—also help employers identify and access resources at the local, state and federal level. The Hubs serve as a vital connection between employers and the Center of Excellence in establishing employer-driven training and curriculum, and together with Employ NV Career Centers, the Hubs connect employers with job seekers.
