Workforce Connections operates with the mission of “connecting employers to a ready workforce,” and as Southern Nevada’s Local Workforce Development Board, oversees the One-Stop Delivery System for the region’s workforce development. A collaboration of local trainers, the American Jobs Network and ACT® job profilers, this innovative system connects area industry with the best workforce teams through One-Stop Career Centers and through on-site evaluations of employer needs, recruitment, pre-screening of candidates and even training, at no extra cost to employers.

Nevada JobConnect Nevada’s Employment Security Division can supply screening and referral of candidates, or job seekers can contact your business through U.S. Jobs. Employers who may have open positions to fill, please call the Nevada JobConnect Business Services Office at (702) 486-0129.

SilverFlume is Nevada’s one-stop business portal and resource. All the forms and information necessary to start a Nevada business are here, and with all applications in a single location, redundancies are eliminated and accurate record keeping is made easier. 

Nevada Department of Business & Industry As a cabinet-level entity, the Department is responsible for a wide array of programs and services, including many designed to assist small business, such as access to capital, new market tax credits, bond programs and more.

Nevada State Data Center (SDC) helps you leverage one of the most precious assets any business can have: Data. A cooperative effort with the U.S. Census Bureau, the SDC offers training and technical assistance in working with U.S. Census data for a variety of purposes.

Nevada Procurement Technical Center (PTC) An outreach of the Governor’s Office of Economic Development, the PTC puts the knowledge of experienced business counselors at your disposal, helping your enterprise open opportunities in prime contract and/or subcontracting across local, state and federal agencies.

Small Business Development Center (SBDC) Las Vegas SBDC offers a wide range of services, from consulting and assistance in getting government contracts to entrepreneurial training and regional business and economic research. The Center also offers small business services designed for veteran-owned businesses.

Nevada Entrepreneur Network Powered by Startup Space, Nevada’s first online entrepreneurial network was founded by the Small Business Development Center with the aid of a Google Impact grant, and offers an impressive depth of resources and avenues for vital business connections. 

Nevada State Development Corporation This non-profit corporation, the state’s largest SBA 504 loan provider, has facilitated the flourishing growth of Nevada small business since 1981. The 504 loan program enables small business owners to purchase commercial real estate and finance long-term equipment at affordable rates. Loan applications are processed swiftly, with pre-approvals in windows as short as 24 hours.

U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) From business guides to funding programs to federal contracting assistance to online learning opportunities, the SBA offers an all-purpose support system for small business.

Job-Seeker Resources

Workforce Connections provides a wide range of services for job seekers, including career counseling, interview assistance, computer access and more. 

Nevada JobConnect offers a resource guide for job seekers and other useful services, including the portal for filing pandemic unemployment insurance.

Nevada Department of Employment, Training and Rehabilitation (DETR) has compiled multiple resources regarding unemployment claims and job seeking on their website.
