The secret is out — Amazon is planning to open a facility right near the Raiders’ new practice facility. The Las Vegas Review-Journal recently covered the story, which denotes “Panattoni Development Co. is constructing a more than 600,000-square-foot industrial building… in the west Henderson desert at the southern tip of the valley.”

City of Henderson’s own Kathleen Richards is quoted, noting ‘the city “is excited to welcome one of the largest e-commerce and technology companies on the planet to the community, bringing quality jobs and helping to strengthen and diversify” the local economy.’

The article goes on to discuss the plethora of development in Southern Nevada, stating “developers have been on a warehouse building spree in Southern Nevada. Overall, 6.5 million square feet of industrial projects were finished in 2017, followed by nearly 4.4 million square feet last year and more than 2.8 million square feet this year, according to John Stater, Las Vegas research manager at brokerage Colliers International. Availability is tight. MDL Group broker Jarrad Katz said his largest client just completed a 147,000-square-foot multi-tenant building, and it was “fully occupied in the first nine months.” He said the industrial market overall is on the upswing, noting “a huge uptick” in the number of companies, mostly from California, moving into Nevada.”
