2025 Henderson Economic Development Awards Celebrate Local Business Achievements and Leadership

Our Economic Development & Tourism department recently honored local businesses and leaders at the 2025 Henderson Chamber of Commerce Small Business Awards. The event recognized the businesses and individuals who have played a pivotal role in shaping the region’s economic future.

Among the notable winners were companies and leaders who have demonstrated exceptional growth, innovation and community involvement in Henderson. The Economic Development Awards were presented to a diverse group of honorees, each making significant contributions to the local economy and quality of life.

 

 

Economic Development Project of the Year

The West Henderson Hospital Medical Center was named Economic Development Project of the Year for its groundbreaking work in providing world-class healthcare services to the expanding West Henderson area. The state-of-the-art facility is expected to serve as a cornerstone in the region's growing healthcare sector and enhance the overall well-being of residents.

Expansion Project of the Year

BulkSupplements.com, a leader in dietary supplements, received the Expansion Project of the Year award for its rapid growth and expansion in Henderson. The company’s continued investment in the area is helping to create jobs and strengthen the City’s standing as a health and wellness hub.

Redevelopment Project of the Year

Atwell Suites was recognized with the Redevelopment Project of the Year award for its innovative approach to revitalizing Henderson's historical Water Street District. Offering a fresh concept for hospitality, Atwell Suites brings a new and modern experience to the Downtown area.

Private Sector Person of the Year

Gene Haas, the founder of Haas Automation, was named Private Sector Person of the Year for his leadership in manufacturing and commitment to innovation. Haas, who broke ground on a new state-of-the-art facility in Henderson last year, was honored for his significant contributions to future, local economic growth. The new facility is expected to bring thousands of jobs to the area and further solidify Henderson as a manufacturing and technology hub.

O'Callaghan Public Sector Person of the Year

In the public sector, Commissioner James B. Gibson was named the O'Callaghan Public Sector Person of the Year. His tireless work in promoting economic development, shaping policy and supporting the community earned him this prestigious award, reflecting his lasting impact on Henderson.
